For the second year in a row, Leipzig-based company Procilon has secured a top position in the ranking of Germany’s Most Innovative Companies. The German provider of secure digital communication solutions achieved a total of 98.8 points in the Security Software Providers category. The company has also been nominated for the upcoming eGovernment Readers’ Choice Awards in the Identity and Security category.
Leipzig, July 14, 2026 – Innovation, the ability to continuously evolve, and the willingness to reinvent oneself time and again are considered key factors for success—particularly within the cybersecurity industry. The recently published ranking Germany’s Most Innovative Companies 2026 in Focus Money (25/2026), conducted by the Cologne-based market research institute ServiceValue in cooperation with DEUTSCHLAND TEST, demonstrates that German medium-sized companies are more than capable of competing with international rivals. Procilon achieved an outstanding result in this ranking: for the second consecutive year, the renowned German cryptography specialist secured a top position.
With an overall score of 98.8 points, Procilon ranked second in the Security Software Providers segment. The Leipzig-based company was surpassed by only one competitor—and only by a narrow margin. A look at the companies ranked behind it highlights the significance of this achievement: Procilon successfully outperformed a large number of well-established, internationally operating industry giants from Germany and abroad.
“Finishing the innovation ranking with an almost perfect score is a tremendous validation of our corporate strategy,” said Dirk Czepluch, CEO of Procilon. “The fact that we, as a German mid-sized software provider, have been able to hold our own and succeed against the major players in our industry demonstrates how well our development teams and processes are positioned today. Our customers can be confident that, with our encryption and identity technologies, they are always at the forefront of innovation.”
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that Procilon has recently also been nominated for an award. The prestigious eGovernment Readers’ Choice Awards, a public voting award presented annually by the trade magazine eGovernment across ten categories, recognizes the best providers whose innovative products help advance the digital transformation of Germany’s public administration.
Until July 31, interested customers, partners, and users can cast their vote for Procilon in the Identity and Security category. The winners will be announced on September 24.
