Leipzig, September 2, 2026 – This year, the KGSt-FORUM 2026 will take place from September 16 to 18 at the Congress Center of Leipzig Trade Fair. More than 5,000 visitors from over 750 municipalities are expected to attend the largest municipal networking event in the German-speaking public administration sector. Leipzig-based company Procilon, which has developed into one of Europe's leading technology providers for Trust Data and Secure Communication, will also be exhibiting at the event and presenting its solutions for a secure and future-proof trust infrastructure.
For many years, supporting the digital transformation of Germany's public administration landscape has been a key focus of Procilon's product development. The company's portfolio includes solutions for digital identities, electronic signatures, secure communication, and trusted data exchange. Procilon will showcase two key topics at the event:
-
Secure Government Communication: Through communication platforms such as proGOV, Procilon provides public institutions and administrative bodies with encrypted, GDPR-compliant channels for the seamless exchange of sensitive data.
-
Electronic Signatures and Seals: For the eIDAS-compliant creation, validation, and legally secure long-term preservation of electronic signatures and seals, Procilon offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, ranging from Sign Live! to the proNEXT Archive Manager.
All participants of the KGSt-FORUM are warmly invited to visit Procilon at the DATABUND joint booth (Booth B01). Falk Gärtner, Martin Splitt, and Anja Pattke will be available to introduce visitors to the company's solutions and engage in discussion.
The portfolio, covering solutions ranging from electronic signatures and seals to email encryption, beBPo, beN, EBO, and the EUDI Wallet, will also be presented by Olaf Rohstock on September 17 at 11:00 a.m. as part of a Digital Workbench Best Practice Presentation at the DATABUND joint booth. All interested attendees are welcome to join.
In parallel, Procilon will host an Open House event at its headquarters on Nikolaistraße throughout all three days of the forum. Visitors can look forward to two special highlights:
“Finish Line and Hammock”
This year's traditional KGSt-FORUM morning run will conclude directly in front of Procilon's headquarters. Participants will be welcomed with refreshments and recovery bags containing vouchers for an anniversary hammock, celebrating Procilon's 25th company anniversary.
“Business Breakfast at Headquarters”
On the morning of September 18, interested guests will have the opportunity, starting at 7:00 a.m., to exchange experiences and ideas with senior Procilon experts and long-standing customers in an exclusive setting, gaining valuable insights into optimizing their trust infrastructure.
As part of the breakfast program, Tobias Raschke, E-Government Project Manager for the City of Kiel, will share his experiences during a morning dialogue on implementing a beBPo mailbox for all municipal departments and administrative offices.
"The fact that the KGSt-FORUM is taking place in Leipzig this year has a very tangible significance for me, and naturally I am delighted about it," says Dirk Czepluch, CEO of Procilon.
"Across Saxony, and especially here in Leipzig, the IT sector has grown significantly over recent years, continuing to evolve and strengthen its networks. The fact that we have succeeded in bringing an event of this scale to our region demonstrates that the important role Saxon companies now play in Germany's digital transformation has gained widespread recognition.
At Procilon, we are proud to support this positive development and will continue to do so. With our secure and future-ready trust infrastructure solutions, we aim to actively drive digital transformation, not only in Germany but increasingly across Europe as a whole."
